Dispatch
Assigning and detaching units
Assign a unit to a call by hand, set the primary unit and detach somebody from a call.
Select a call and choose ASSIGN UNIT. A row opens under the routing editor labelled "Assign an available, unattached unit".
The list
Only eligible units are offered. ASSIGN is unavailable when no eligible units are online, and a unit has to clear or detach before they can be assigned.
The eligibility and ordering rules are on automatic assignment.
Each option shows the callsign, the department tag, the subdivision if one is set, and a reason such as IDLE with a number of minutes, or SUPERVISOR.
Primary
The Primary checkbox sets that unit as primary on the call. Only one unit holds it, so ticking it moves it from whoever had it.
The primary unit is badged PRIMARY beside their callsign in the UNITS row and sorts first in that list.
Detaching
Each attached unit in the UNITS row has a cross. Selecting it asks for confirmation, naming the unit.
Detaching a unit does not clear the call, even when it removes the last unit.
Alongside automatic assignment
Manual and automatic assignment work on the same call at the same time. See automatic assignment.
