Dispatch
Call routing and requirements
The routing editor sets which department owns a call, requests a specific subdivision, and marks a call as needing a supervisor.
The routing editor is under the button row in CALL CONTROL. Four controls and a SAVE REQUIREMENTS button.
Department
The dropdown lists every department in your community.
Automatic uses your community's routing rules. Choosing a department explicitly overrides that.
The ROUTING line in the call detail shows the result either way, so you can see which department a call resolved to before units are assigned.
Announcement
Automatic, Manual radio and CAD only, shown when AutoDispatch is enabled for your community.
These match the choices on the call creation form and can be changed at any time. Changing this does not transmit anything.
Requested subdivision
Choose from the dropdown and select ADD.
The dropdown lists subdivisions currently set by units on duty. When nothing qualifies the control is unavailable and shows None available.
Each subdivision you add appears as a tag on the call. Amber and WAITING until a unit carrying that subdivision attaches, then green and ASSIGNED. The cross on a tag removes the request.
You can request more than one, and each is tracked separately.
Units set their own subdivision. See setting your callsign, department and subdivision.
Supervisor required
Marks the call as requiring a supervisor. See automatic assignment.
The ROUTING line shows "Supervisor required" once it is set, so units can see it before they attach.
Saving
SAVE REQUIREMENTS applies the department, announcement and supervisor settings.
Adding and removing subdivisions applies immediately.
