PlateNet Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what information PlateNet handles, why it is used, and when it may be disclosed. It applies to PlateNet's public website, accounts, authenticated private beta, Communities, communications, and PlateNet-controlled features, whether or not you have an account.

"PlateNet" is the name of the service. "PlateNet," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the person or entity providing the service under that name.

Acknowledgment and Scope

Before creating an account, you must agree to the Terms of Service, acknowledge that you have read this Policy, and confirm that you are at least 18 years old. PlateNet may record those actions, the document versions presented, and the date and time.

Simulation features are limited by the Terms to fictional, non-identifying information. Account and contact information specifically requested by PlateNet must be accurate.

Information PlateNet Handles

PlateNet may handle account and contact information; Community membership and permissions; Terms-acceptance, Privacy Policy acknowledgment, and age-confirmation records; User Content and settings; text submitted for computer-generated audio; Contact Page communications; and ordinary website, authentication, error, security, and diagnostic records. These records may include an IP address, request time, browser or session information, login events, errors, and security events.

How Information Is Used

PlateNet may use information to authenticate accounts; operate the beta, Communities, permissions, and requested features; maintain and improve PlateNet; protect users and systems; investigate misuse; enforce the Terms; respond to requests and disputes; document acceptance and age confirmation; comply with law; protect legal rights; or transfer, reorganize, or end the service.

When Information May Be Disclosed

PlateNet may disclose information to service providers that help operate it, to investigate misuse or protect PlateNet or others, in response to valid legal process, or in connection with a transfer or change in operation.

Community Owners and administrators may see Community members and manage roles, permissions, settings, connected systems, and fictional Community records and content available through Community tools. Other members may view fictional records and content allowed by their roles. Community tools do not provide access to account passwords, legal-acceptance records, Contact Page communications, or PlateNet's internal administrative or technical records. A separately operated system may handle information under its operator's own practices.

Cookies and Browser Storage

PlateNet may use cookies, sessions, and browser storage to authenticate accounts, remember settings, operate features, and protect the service. Blocking required storage may prevent login or interfere with features.

Retention and Deletion

PlateNet retains information for as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, enforcement, disputes, legal compliance, backups, and protection of legal rights. Retention varies by information and purpose.

You may delete your account through available settings or request deletion through the PlateNet Contact Page. Community removal does not delete a PlateNet account. Deletion may not remove information in Community records, connected systems, backups, or temporary copies, or information reasonably needed for other users, security, enforcement, disputes, legal compliance, or legal rights. PlateNet may retain Terms-acceptance, Privacy Policy acknowledgment, age-confirmation, version, and timestamp records after deletion.

Protecting Information

PlateNet uses safeguards intended to protect information. No system is completely secure, and PlateNet does not guarantee absolute security.

Protect your password, devices, sessions, and credentials, and report suspected account or security problems through the PlateNet Contact Page.

Privacy Requests

Where applicable law provides, you may request access to certain personal information, correction of inaccurate personal information, or deletion through the PlateNet Contact Page. PlateNet may verify your identity, account, authority, or Community relationship and may limit, delay, or deny a request as law permits, including when PlateNet does not control the information, may retain it, or must protect another person, security, enforcement, a dispute, or legal rights.

Updates and Contact

PlateNet may update this Policy when the service or its information practices change. An updated Policy will show a new effective date or version. PlateNet may require you to agree to updated Terms and acknowledge that you have read an updated Policy before continuing to use an authenticated account. PlateNet may record those actions, the document versions presented, and the date and time.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms or do not wish to continue after reviewing the updated Policy, do not continue to use your account; sign out and request account deletion through the PlateNet Contact Page.
