Patrol CAD
Unit status
What each entry in the STATUS dropdown means and which one makes you eligible for assignment.
The STATUS dropdown in the Patrol CAD toolbar has six options. Changing it saves immediately and updates the roster for everyone.
The six options
OFF DUTY is the status when you arrive. The roster shows you in grey.
10-8 AVAILABLE is the status that makes you eligible for assignment.
10-6 BUSY shows you as on duty and is not eligible for automatic assignment.
EN ROUTE and ON SCENE describe your position on a call. The call detail buttons set these along with your status on the call. See working a call.
TRAINING is not eligible for automatic assignment.
Eligibility
Having the 10-8 AVAILABLE status is one of two conditions. You also have to be unattached from any call, so setting yourself available while still attached does not make you eligible.
The full eligibility and selection rules are on automatic assignment.
Status on the roster
Available units show green. Busy, en route and on scene show amber. Off duty and training show grey.
See Patrol CAD for the rest of what a roster row shows.
