Running a query

The QUERY page shows three search forms down the left side. Each runs on its own.

Person

First name, last name, date of birth and licence number. Any combination works.

Names and licence numbers match on partial text, so BRO finds BROWN. Date of birth has to be exact.

Submitting with all four empty returns you to the page.

Vehicle

Plate, and it is required. It matches partially, so a fragment of a plate returns anything containing it.

Firearm

Serial or make, and at least one is required. Leaving both empty returns "Enter a serial number or make."

Both match partially.

The result

A single match opens the full return immediately, with the notice "1 record found."

Several matches switch the panel to a list headed MATCHING PEOPLE, MATCHING VEHICLES or MATCHING FIREARMS with a count. Each row shows two lines of identifying detail, and rows with active flags are marked.

Selecting a row opens the full return. A BACK TO MATCHES button then appears.

Searches return up to 50 records.

No match

"No matching records were found." appears when nothing matches.

Records are scoped per community. A character in one community does not exist in another, even for the same account.

Where the result goes

Opening a return adds it to the SEARCH HISTORY panel on the right, which holds your last 30 with the type, source and time.

Reading the return, sharing it with a call and flagging records are covered in system returns.

Visibility

Your search history is private to you. Other units do not see what you have run.

A return becomes visible to others only when you attach it to a call.
