Flags and person notes
The person flags and the vehicle and firearm record flags, how to add and remove them, and why a warrant flag cannot be removed by hand.
Flags attach to the record rather than to a return. Every unit who runs that person or plate afterwards sees them, on the return and as a marker in the match list.
Person flags
Open a person return and expand ADD FLAG under ACTIVE FLAGS.
- Officer safety
- Known armed
- Known dangerous / violent
- Mental-health caution
- Flight risk
- Gang association
- Parole
- Probation
- Drug caution
- Sex offender
Officer safety, known armed, known dangerous and an active warrant render red. The rest render amber.
Adding a flag that is already active has no effect.
Removing a person flag
Each active flag is a button with a cross. Pressing it asks for confirmation.
A WARRANT flag created by an approved warrant report has no cross. Attempting to remove it returns "Cancel the warrant from its warrant report." It is removed when the warrant is served or cancelled. See warrants.
Vehicle and firearm flags
The same control with a different list.
Vehicles take Stolen, Unregistered, Felony vehicle and Officer safety.
Firearms take Stolen, Lost, Illegal, Evidence and Officer safety.
These are separate from the registration status and firearm status the owner sets. Both appear on the return. See civilian vehicles and firearms.
Person notes
PERSON NOTES on a person return is the note history for that individual. Expand ADD NOTE, enter the note and press ADD NOTE.
Each note is stamped with the time and the callsign of the author. The panel holds the last 50, newest first.
Notes are visible to anybody who runs that person. They are not tied to a call and they do not expire.
Notes cannot be edited or deleted once added.
Where each appears
A flag appears on the FLAGS line of the return, as a chip in ACTIVE FLAGS, and as a marker on the record in a search match list.
Notes appear only on the return. They do not show in the match list or on the BOLOs board.
