Getting started
Signing in and password rules
How to sign in to PlateNet, what happens after too many attempts, and how administrator issued one time codes work.
Sign in using your username, not your display name. A successful sign in opens the Portal.
Password requirements
The help text under the password field shows the current requirements.
Your password must meet the requirements shown under the field.
Other outcomes
Repeated failed attempts return "Too many login attempts. Try again later or contact a platform administrator."
ACCOUNT CONFIRMATION REQUIRED appears when the Terms or Privacy Policy have been republished since you last accepted them, or when your account has no age confirmation. Tick what is shown and select CONFIRM AND CONTINUE.
SET A NEW PASSWORD appears when an administrator has issued you a one time code.
Administrator issued one time codes
A password issued by an administrator works once. Set your permanent password before leaving the page. If you leave without saving, the one-time code can no longer be used and an administrator has to issue another.
Your new password has to meet the same rules and cannot match the one time code.
Password recovery
A platform administrator issues a one time code, and may ask for the recovery code shown at registration first.
Signing out
SIGN OUT is at the right of the header on every signed in page.
